100% Polyester Fabric All Color Standard Recipe and Dyeing Process

Synthetic fabric refers to any type of textile material made from man-made fibers that are not found naturally in nature, such as polyester, nylon, rayon, and spandex. So, 100% polyester is a synthetic fabric. The fiber formation is polyester. The most popular dye is dispersed dyestuffs. The fastness properties are much better than other dyestuffs. Here I am discussing the standard dyeing recipe and standard dyeing process in the textile industry. I am sharing my 100% applied process. Anyone can use it for production and I think it will be your best process.

100% polyester fabric dyeing standard recipe:

Dosing of all the chemicals depends on the concentration of the chemicals and according to the manufacturer’s technical datasheet. On the other hand, dyes depend on the target shade.

Standard dyeing process of 100% polyester fabric

This is a dispersed dyeing process. The 100% polyester dyeing process is a thermodynamic dyeing process. In this process, the synthetic fibers are first immersed in an aqueous solution containing disperse dyes, which are water-insoluble dyes that can be dispersed as fine particles in water. The fibers and dye solution are then heated to a temperature above the melting point of the fibers, and the pressure is increased to allow the dye to penetrate the fibers and bond to their surface.

There is no useful bonding created between the fiber and fabric. Here dyes are interrupted between the fiber molecule. The updated and best production considering process is stated below:

Load the fabric

POLYESTER PART START

Oxalic acid+Detergent Inject = For remove impurities and neutralization

Run time 10min

Drain and wash for 5min

Acetic acid inject= For Control PH: 4.2 to 4.5

Rice the temperature at 80⁰C

Disperse dye stuff dossing 30min = For polyester part dying

Rise the temperature80 ⁰C to 95⁰C Grade 1⁰C = Grade for better penetration

Then rise temperature 95 ⁰C to 135 ⁰C Grade: 0.5 ⁰C

Run for 45min

Cooling at 135 ⁰C to 95 ⁰C grade: 1 ⁰C

Then 95 ⁰C to 79 ⁰C directly.

Check the sample = To achieve the required shade

If the shade ok then drain the dye bath

Normal hot at 80 ⁰C

Run for 10min

Wash for 10min

Caustic soda dossing 8min at temperature 50 ⁰C

Run for 5min

Rise the temperature at 80 ⁰C

Inject hydrose = for removing the loose disperse dyes

Rise the temperature at 90 ⁰C

Run for 10min

Cooling at 80 ⁰C and drain

Normal not at 90 ⁰C for 10min

Wash for 10min and drain

Softener (Polyester) Inject

Run for 10 min

Conclusion:

100% polyester is a popular synthetic fabric used in textile manufacturing. Dispersed dyestuffs are the most common dyes used in the industry due to their superior fastness properties. When dyeing 100% polyester, the standard recipe and process should be followed according to manufacturer guidelines and technical datasheets.

The resulting coloration is permanent and resistant to external factors. The thermodynamic dyeing process involves high temperature and pressure to allow the dye to penetrate and bond to the fiber’s surface. The updated and best production process should be adopted for optimal results. Here I stated the most updated standard dyeing recipe and process. Everyone can use it.
