Easter is just around the corner, and if you’re looking for a fun and unique way to decorate your Easter eggs this year, try tie dyeing them with tissue paper! It’s a fun activity for kids and adults alike, and the results are definitely eye-catching. Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
-Tissue paper in a variety of colors (we used 6 sheets per egg) -Rubber bands -Hard boiled eggs
First, start by wrapping each egg tightly in a single layer of tissue paper. You can use as many or as few colors as you like – we went with a rainbow theme. Once all of your eggs are wrapped, secure each one with a rubber band.
Next, fill a bowl or bucket with warm water and add some drops of food coloring. Submerge your eggs in the water and let them soak for about 15 minutes. The longer they soak, the more vibrant the colors will be.
After 15 minutes (or longer), carefully remove the eggs from the water and unwrap them. Be sure to do this over a towel or newspaper so that you don’t make too much of a mess! Allow the eggs to dry completely before handling them further.
And that’s it – your beautiful tie dyed Easter eggs are ready to enjoy!
Can You Dye Eggs With Tissue Paper?
Yes, you can dye eggs with tissue paper. You will need to use a white tissue paper and some watercolors. First, wet the tissue paper and then lay it flat on a plate or palette.
Next, apply the watercolors to the tissue paper. Once you have applied the desired amount of color, carefully place the egg on top of the tissue paper. Make sure that all sides of the egg are touching the colored tissue paper.
Let the egg sit for about five minutes, then remove it from the tissue paper and place it in a bowl of warm water. How Do I Make Tissue Paper Eggs?
To make your own tissue paper eggs, you will need:
-Tissue paper in assorted colors
-Ruler or measuring tape -Pencil -String or ribbon
-Clear tape -Paper clips (optional) 1.Start by cutting out a rectangle of tissue paper.
The size will depend on how big you want your egg to be. For this example, we cut out a piece that was 10 inches wide by 15 inches long. 2.Fold the tissue paper accordion style, making sure all the folds are about the same width.
For our 10 inch wide piece of tissue paper, we made each fold about 1 inch wide. Once you have your stack of folded tissue paper, use a pencil to draw an egg shape onto the top layer of tissue paper. Make sure to leave a small opening at the top of the egg shape so that you can insert string later on.
3.Cut out your egg shape, being careful not to cut through all the layers of tissue paper. 4.Unfold your accordion stack of tissue and lay it flat. Use scissors to round off the edges of the egg shape so that it looks more like an actual egg.
You can also fringe the edges for a different look altogether! 5.”Crumple” up each individual layer of tissue paper so that it is no longer perfectly flat (this step is optional but does give your eggs more dimension). Be careful not to crumple them too much or they will tear easily. 6.Insert string or ribbon into the top opening of your egg and tie it off securely so that all the layers are gathered together tightly. Tape over this knot with clear tape to reinforce it. Trim off any excess string/ribbon.
7.(Optional) If any of your layers are particularly thin and seem like they might tear easily, place a small dot of glue or tape in the center before gathering all the layers together.
8.(Optional) Another way to reinforcement your eggs is to place a metal paperclip in between each layer before gathering them together and tying off with string/ribbon.
9.. Hang up your beautiful homemade Easter decorations and enjoy!

Large Easter Eggs for Yard
When it comes to celebrating Easter, many people like to go all out. One way to do this is by decorating your yard with large Easter eggs. This can be a fun and festive way to show your holiday spirit, and it can also be a great way to make your home stand out from the rest.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when decorating your yard with large Easter eggs: Choose Your Eggs Wisely The first step is to choose the right eggs for the job.
You’ll want to find eggs that are made of durable materials that can withstand being outdoors. Plastic or resin eggs are a good option, as they won’t break easily and will last for several seasons. You can also find blow-molded plastic eggs that come in halves; these are ideal if you want to add lights or other decorations inside the egg.
Pick The Right Size The next thing to consider is size. You’ll want to choose eggs that are big enough to be noticed but not so large that they’re overwhelming.
A good rule of thumb is to choose eggs that are about 12 inches tall. However, you may want to go smaller or larger depending on the space you have available and the overall look you’re going for.
Light Up Easter Eggs
Easter is a time to celebrate new beginnings, and what better way to do that than with some light up Easter eggs! These fun and festive decorations are sure to bring some extra cheer to your holiday celebrations.
Light up Easter eggs are available in a variety of colors and styles.
You can find them pre-lit with LED lights, or you can buy kits that allow you to add your own lights. Either way, they’re sure to add some extra sparkle to your Easter decorating. To get started, all you need is a few supplies: light up Easter eggs, batteries, and if you’re using a kit, an LED light source.
Once you have everything gathered together, it’s time to start decorating! One popular way to use light up Easter eggs is to create a garland. Simply string the eggs together using clear fishing line or thread, leaving enough space between each egg so that they can swing freely.
Hang your garland from doorways or windows for a cheerful touch that everyone will love. Another fun idea is to use the eggs as placeholders at your Easter dinner table. Write each guests’ name on an egg and set it in front of their plate.
Not only will this add some festive flair to your table setting, but it will also help everyone keep track of their silverware! No matter how you choose to use them, light up Easter eggs are a great way to add some extra excitement and cheerfulness to your holiday celebration. So get creative and have fun!
